While living in a small cabin on the plains of North Dakota, David Allen wrote the songs for his sophomore album "Regrets and Retribution". As the follow up to his first album "Lovers are Liars, Gamblers, and Thieves" which was written about dysfunctional relationships and slowly making his way to rock bottom. "Regrets and Retribution" is less about David's personal experience and is more about his observations of the people living around him, the men and women of the upper midwest. The ups and downs of living in a small town, the failed relationships, the fear of leaving, and the judgmental stares from the Sunday Christians.

Bio:

David Allen started out singing in bars during his time as a construction worker living in North Dakota.  His style brings you back to the roots of country reminiscent of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash.  No bullshit, just straight up good music out of the heart and through a glass of whiskey and a cigarette.

In 2015 David released his first solo EP "Eight Feet Wide and A Mile Deep". That was followed by his "Death and Love" EP in 2016. In 2018 he released his first full length album "Lovers are Liars, Gamblers, and Thieves". Over the past few years David has toured all around the United States including places like Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He has also opened for multiple national touring acts some of which include, Todd Snider, Dave Simonet (Trampled by Turtles), Damien Jurado, Corb Lund, Parmalee and for Phillip Phillips at multiple venues.
